FAQ
What does the group need to attend an event?
We ask that space is provided for our volunteers so we have a home base and place to rest. We ask that all volunteers have free access to the event. If the event is requesting for us to provide some type of skill or other labor like, artwork, we will request supplies. Currently, other needs are on an event-by-event basis.
Do I or my event have to be cat themed to join or have Cats With Thumbs Cosplay appear?
No. You do not have to have a cat theme event for us to be there nor do you need a cat related costume to join us. We appear at all kinds of events and want volunteers with all kind of costumes to support those events.
Do I have to have a fursuit/costume/etc to volunteer?
No. We accept all types of volunteers and costume makers of all skill levels. Not everyone has to be in costume. We need folks to run tables, do activities, make art and watch our costumed volunteers.

Do I get anything for volunteering?
Generally speaking, volunteers get access to the event the group is volunteering at, a badge and the opportunity to advertise their wares/businesses. Snacks, water, networking and gratitude included!
I am under 18, can I volunteer?
For safety reasons, we cannot accept volunteers under 18 unless they have a guardian volunteering with them.
You bring items to events, are they all handmade?
We try our best to bring handmade items to events to support our charity goals. All our items are donated or made by our volunteers. We are sometimes donated factory made items like comics, figures other merchandise or 3D printed costume pieces. We do our best to inform buyers of what they are getting. We strive to support real artists as much as possible. We are anti-AI and 3D printed slop.
Our 3D printed bases are original sculptures made for our use by an artist. Find out more on our Charity page.
